Visit to JL 's in Fort Collins

I am so far behind on posts I wonder if I should go this far back. I flew out of VA on December 16th and headed to Colorado. I got out just in the nick of time as there was a huge snow storm that weekend which grounded airlines. It was so good to see JL, Rick and the kids. They grow up so incredibly fast--especially when you only see them once a year. Mcayden called me the 'enormous girl' and when we went to a place with the big blow up toys he was looking for me and told his dad that he was looking for his girl. So cute! I called him on the enormous girl and he said 'your not enormous.' :) Addison is hilarious! She just does whatever she wants to do. She has an adorable smile and is definitely a Bohn with that stubborn streak.
I have a new appreciation for parents and am now wondering if I ever want kids. It's not necessarily the kids themselves, but it's all the work that they generate--dishes, messy rooms, laundry, meals, etc. It was quite overwhelming. I really have a VERY nice single life. I come and go as I want without having to care for someone else. I spend my money where I want and I don't have much laundry or messy rooms at all. :) I'm very happy with where I am right now in my life. :)
We went to a place where you can play on the big blow up slides and jump things. It was so much fun! Addison was so funny. She saw me walking up instead of crawling like her so she would just lay down and wait to be picked up so she could walk up. When I was behind her it was fine because I would do it (she so has me wrapped around her finger!), but when someone else was there she would still just flop down. In her mind it somehow translated to walking vertically. It was so funny. I love her hair in this picture. It totally makes me laugh!
Mcayden and Addison LOVE playing in water. I found them in the bathroom playing in the sink. Slowly the clothes came off as they were getting wetter and wetter. Finally I just put them in the tub and let them play. Mcayden thought it was a lot of fun to try and get me wet.
When I was in St. Lucia I met this guy-Greg. He lives in Boulder so when I was in Colorado we met up for dinner. Greg was so nice and took JL and I shopping in the pedestrian friendly area and then we went to an Indian restaurant. It was such a fun night!

Oh, how fun! And you know, I so love that you are content with your life right now and are not afraid to admit it! I have to say after my day today, I envy you a bit. All afternoon, I fantasized about just going to work and then being able to come home and do whatever I want all weekend long. Sometimes I would give anything to be able to relive a fun day from when I didn't have kids. I adore my kids, but I really miss the freedom. And the quiet. And the clean house. Sigh.
