New Job

I started my new job this week. Of course with the internet being open I'm not going to share all of my thoughts and feelings, but in general everything is good. I will say that I am completely unimpressed with the federal government. They are using old equipment, old browsers and my computer is so slow! I miss my computers at Mason!!! I wish I could just bring my own computer to work as it does work better.
The people seem nice and I can work nine hour days so I get one day off every other week. I'm so excited about that! They also have a gym on site which I am going to start using next week. I will have to leave my house around 5:20--yuck, but at least the gym is free and traffic should be fantastic.
For those of you who don't know, I am going to be moving out near my work by March 1st. I had planned on moving, but staying a bit closer to my friends. One day this week it took me an hour and ten minutes to get home. I cannot do that!!! I walked into my house, said I was going to bed and did. No dinner, no anything. I was just exhausted from the stop and go etc. It was just too much for me. I think if I am by my work I will be less tired and have more time for me instead of always worried about traffic. It will just be better. I am going to go look at places around that area with a friend of mine today.
Well, I am pretty much all caught up. There's a ton more I could say, but I really need to do laundry, cook, and get ready for the week. Life just keeps going on. :)
Ta!

I am so glad the job is going well, though that has to really stink to have crummy computers.

I agree that moving closer to work is an excellent idea. Bil used to commute 45 minutes each way (which I know isn't even that bad compared to some) and it seemed to suck the life out of him.

Sorry I missed your call a couple weeks ago. Things have been hectic (sick kids, Danny's evaluation, etc) I would love to talk with you sometime, though. I'll try to call soon, though not while you are at work.
