Shakespeare--The Taming of the Shrew

Jewles invited me to go to a 'free for all' in DC with the Shakespeare Theatre Company. They are presenting a very modernized version of The Taming of the Shrew. It was very well done! The main character was so hot too! :) Julie went a few hours before the production to get tickets. It was in Shakespeare 'speak,' but they modernized it with the set, the clothing, and the gestures. It was very interesting to see how they did it. We laughed a lot which is always good!

I was driving home and all of a sudden two cars in from of me I saw this green car go perpendicular to traffic (we were going around 70 mph) run into the embankment (I could see chunks of the car flying off) and then spin into on coming traffic. I slammed on my breaks and could hear them squeal. I veered over to the left shoulder afraid of hitting the car in front of me and chanced a look in my rear view mirror where the car behind me was doing the same thing. I am so grateful that I did not hit anyone and no one else got hit. I have no idea what happened. It was so incredibly scary. I just kept saying over and over and over for about five minutes 'oh my gosh!' My heart was beating so fast. It just scared me so badly. I had a small headache beforehand, but I think the 'excitement' turned it into a migraine. I'm so grateful to be home safe and sound!!!

My food update is great! I stuck with my points and have written everything down. I will continue to do so tomorrow. I am going to the beach this weekend and have got to figure out how to handle that. The thing is, I want to continue to lose weight and not 'fall off the wagon.' However, I also want to enjoy the beach, which for me is eating yummy stuff. I'm totally in a quandry about what to do. Last time we went to the beach I ate lots of junk food and had a migraine for three days afterwards. I really think it was all of the sugar. I will commit to writing everything I eat until I leave for the beach. I am thinking maybe I need to give myself the time off from counting points and then taking it up as soon as I get back. Does anyone have a suggestion or ideas how to handle it?

Hi cutie,
This is the first time I have read your blog in months. Really nice. I like the graphics you have on here now. And like what you have shared.
You and Julie look beautiful. I am happy you two have got to hang out together.

I have been doing the WW thing too and even though you will be back from the beach by the time you read this, I will go ahead and comment.

What I do sometimes is just use all my flex points for fun weekends and then try to eat really light the rest of the week, and exercise. As long as I don't go totally wild on the weekend (like completely and totally stuffing myself over and over) I usually do ok. I think we need to be able to eat fun food with our friends sometimes. If not, I would never be able to maintain a healthy diet.

Also, I try to remember this is about health, so when I am "having fun" I try to imagine how I will feel after I have eaten. Am I going to regret it because it makes me feel sick? Then, I'll skip it. Otherwise, I try to eat it in moderation, which doens't always work....

Oh, I am so glad you didn't end up in the accident! Thank goodness!

That Shakespeare play sounds so great! Glad you had fun!

Great beach photos. I have to have a swim suit--more like lounging under the shade at Billago suit in Vegas where we go in 2 weeks. I searched on line and the ones I liked were $100. Those on sale were butt ugly and still cost over $55.00. Cindy went to Kohls and brought home the cutest suit for me and it was only $20.00. She got one for $6.00 that is so cute too. Now I'm ready to go. I just wish it wasn't such an ugly drive!!!
I needed an alignment on my car and the Lord has really, really, really blessed us!!!!!! The front tires actually had the metal showing through them!!! He said it was a wonder I hadn't had a blow out and just the day before we had gone all the way to IKEA. SCARRY
