Tom Loo and I went to the MLK memorial last Sunday. It was such a perfect day. It was in the 70s and some of the trees were changing colors. It was just gorgeous! This is one view of MLK. The whole memorial is very well done. There is a very nice feeling about the place--peace.
This is a side view with the Washington Memorial in the background.
On the left is where you enter the memorial. They have made it so it's something you enter--not right on the road. It's kind of set apart. It's on the Tidal Basin so MLK is looking out over the water towards the Jefferson Memorial. Along the wall here (you can kind of see under the trees) they have different sayings from MLK. It was beautiful.
