Any of you who know my mother know she is the greatest mom there is so this will come as no surprise. My mom sent me a beautiful gift that I will always cherish. She had made my grandmother a tablecloth when my mom was in college. My grandmother passed away over thirty-five years ago so my mom has had this tablecloth in her possession After years of use it was pretty worn. My mom decided to make me (and all her girls) a beautiful sachet filled with lavender that she and Cindy had harvested. I was such a wonderful gift to receive!!! It means so much to me.
A few days later I received this beautiful quilt in the mail. Years ago several friends decided to each make 16 blocks--the same block--and then exchange with each other and we would make a quilt with them. Well, all these years later I still hadn't made a quilt with them. My mom took the blocks home with her last year and then this surprise turned up in the mail. It is so beautiful! I just love it!!! She did such an amazing job. I love the stars that connect the blocks.
